It’s late July and the river is finally starting to drop, and fast! Only a week ago it was 60% higher than normal and now it is only 30% higher than normal for this time of year. I was out on a trip this past Saturday and fishing was good, with some nice fish in the 3 to 5 foot range, a 6 footer, and one that took the tape to just shy of 7 feet. There is still quite a bit of debris in the river but the fish seem to be responding well to the dropping flows and are on the feed.
